SO UNCLE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?

"And Uncle Elijah was scared and ran for his life..."

Every time I read the scripture, 1st Kings 19, I find it pretty amusing.  Like i can't just hold myself 😂😂. Maybe it's because I actually try picturing God's face at the time of the said question. Ok, ok, i know God did not actually call Elijah Uncle, but is it your own bible? or your own revelation? leave me mbok 😂😂.  I want to tell you the whole story. I really want to... But nah... I'll pass. Go and read your own Bible. Lol!

But  if you take out time to read the whole chapter, * as I have strongly advised*  you would realize that prior to this awkward conversation Elijah was having with our Almighty GOD,  Elijah had just been fed a  sumptuous meal by an Angel of God for the tedious journey ahead.  yes, my guy was that important, Angels were feeding him. It's not beans.   So I immediately assumed that God was quite aware of Elijah's present predicament. I mean, He is the all knowing God abi?

Ok let me just give you a little briefing, since you sadly aren't all knowing. Aunty Jezebel had just threatened to kill Elijah after Elijah had victoriously slaughtered 450 prophets of baal and Uncle Elijah was running for his dear life. Got it?

Yes ooo, Uncle Elijah was actually running…for his life… from a WOMAN (and you think you are the founder of Feminism, cmon gerrarrahere)😂😂😂😂

But wait a minute! Is it only me that has heard of Uncle Elijah the great? The one whom God had outrightly proven himself to, and given victory over 450 PROPHETS OF BAAL  in the presence of all the Israelites?  Can Someone now tell me why Uncle Elijah was  so quick to believe that God was going to let one woman kill him, when God had given him victory of 450 prophets of Baal? Anyone?💅💅

Isn't it funny how God saves us from very life threatening and devastating events  only for Him to turn around and see us scurrying away in fear from something even smaller? Something way smaller. Its completely hilarious! I know, because I do it often. Too often.😔😔😔 So, let me ask you another question, which I know you do not want to answer.  I'll ask anyway, cos I am annoying like that, kuku "kee" me 😂😂. When you look back at all that God has done for you (and I am sure you know that I know that they are too many to count), why is it so easy for you to doubt God so often?

In fact let me just "use style" and ask you what God asked Uncle E -  Uncle, Aunty, what are you doing here? What has got you backed up in this corner of doubt and fear again? What is so big that makes God so little? Over and over again!

Furthermore, to whom much is given, much is always required. Elijah was a blessed man. God had graced him with so much power. This was a man whose prayers literally raised the dead to life! In fact, he was so dear to God that God sent an angel to personally feed him. Chai, Just imagine if angels were personally feeding us in this recession, better chicken republic food oo, the people that would have given their life to christ ehhhh,  😂😂.  Yet, with all that power at his disposal, Uncle E. chose the easy way out- run and hide. Sadly, the story ends with God telling Elijah to anoint a successor. The truth is I Know it's easier to run and hide, settle for less or not to push ourselves but God does not bless us for show.  I know you think He does, but He doesn't. He really doesn't.
With such great power and mercy comes ample responsibility. God must find it strange that with how much he has blessed us, we still choose to hide in our cave of excuses. And please don't even annoy me by telling me that God hasn't blessed you or that you are ordinary. Snap out of it! Even the devil knows better!😠😠

Do you know how many people are looking for the kind of opportunities that we have? God has been so faithful and merciful to us, yet hiding still  seems like the best option. You better wake up! Me I "have wake,"

Dearest, God does not waste his grace. If he has graced us, then we must trust that our all knowing God finds us worthy. Uncle, Aunty, You are awesome. We've been blessed and equipped to take over in our diverse ways. There is no excuse for being small and limited.  You see, even with Elijah's seemingly reasonable excuse of self preservation, God still asked him the million dollar question," What are you doing here?" So what type of excuse do you think you can cook up that God will accept. Honestly,  I don't think such an excuse exists. thats my opinion sha, but if you think you are Einstein, Good luck. Let me know how it goes iya? 😒 God simply is not pleased with excuses.  So his question to you today remains, why are you here? When you think about all God has blessed your life with, are you maximizing his grace? Are you in the right place? Are you taking over?

Na just question ooo,  let me come and be going abeg.😂😂😂😂
